Kohyo Co.Ltd
was established in 1971 as a exporter & importer of
seafood. In 2011 we marked our 40th anniversary with a
turnover of well over 40 billion yen. In addition of the
import and export of seafood, our business has also been
expanded to agricultural products, live stock products, and
wines. This successful growth has been supported by our
customers, shareholders, and our dedicated staff who have
strived to uphold the management philosophy our founder left
behind.
Due to the onset of an excessively aging society,
Japan is now undergoing deflation, financial difficulty, the
decline of social security system, and so on. The Japanese
economy will have to cope with reduced demand in all aspects,
while a global population explosion is expected with drastic
increase of food demand. Kohyo continues to serve as a bridge,
connecting superior supply source and consumers
in a
sustainable fashion with high quality products which maintain
Japan’s food culture.
